Factory turbos, as well as aftermarket turbos, are susceptible to damage from these problems. ![]() Extended and repetitive oil coking within the oil lines and center housing could result in clogging problems and damaged turbos. If an engine is shut down immediately after a hard run, the turbines may still be spinning without any circulating oil. This is particularly critical after a hard run, where the turbines can spin at over 200,000 RPM and reach temperatures as high as 900C. The purpose is to keep oil running through the turbo to cool down the center housing. Turbo timers are designed to keep the engine idling after the engine is shut down and ignition key is removed. ![]() I do not accept any responsibility for your actions or the results of such actions. MSP exhaust (will have to cut the piping from the muffler to tip off and have tip rewelded back on - I had an 03.5 on mine and loved it, great sound, only reason I sold it was I upgraded to a Thermal R&D catback)ĥ. MSP stock turbo (MSP used same 2.0 FSZE so it's a direct bolt-on)Ĥ. MP3 ECU (manual only and requires premium gas to get the benefit)ģ. Just have to watch offsets and width as some will require spacers and or fender rolling.Ģ. Almost any five lug wheel from the newer generation.
